On Friday 31st May and Saturday 1st June from 6-11pm we once again celebrate the Hilt Beer Fest with an intimate and really local event which has a unique atmosphere. Many of the beers have already won awards and we think we have chosen some excellent new ones along with some beautiful ciders. We also have lively music, some from local artists,with different acts playing on each night. For those of you who like to sup your ale in peace, we also have a quiet room!
On Friday night we have local band The Fold, the ‘funtastic’ bluegrass rock band The Discerning Gentlemen plus Red Jackson who play a mix of good time hits from the 40s and 50s along with some rockabilly thrown in for good measure!
On Saturday Night The Fold return, plus Black Dog, playing covers of rock and roll hits as well as The John Young band who play their own take on familiar songs, often with a slightly jazzy feel.
Our sponsors, Sparks Ellison have helped us come up with a souvenir glass for you to keep.
There will also be a bar available (contactless payments accepted) for those who woud like to enjoy a drink and the live music but aren't quite so into the real ale!
Hot food will be supplied by local firm Bark and Brisket.
Prices are as follows:
- One night entry (Friday or Saturday) including souvenir festival glass & 6 beer tokens: £10 on the door.
- Both nights entry, including souvenir festival glass & 8 beer tokens: £15
- Beer tokens: 50p each
- Regular Ale/Cider: 3/4 tokens per half pint*
- Premium Ale/Cider (over 5%): 5 tokens per half pint*
